Hello, I'm a dumbass

First things first: I tried to reply to the comments on the previous post, but I couldn't exactly figure out how to do it. I wanted to reply to each one individually, but apparently I can't and instead I have to reply to them all at the bottom (as shown below). Oops. Guess I'll have to be quicker next time.

At the moment, I am doing a lot of sitting around. Why, you ask? Well, yesterday I had three experiments to do. I thought to myself--time only matters with one of these experiments. I'll rush around and do that one first, and then I'll take my time and have lots of diet coke breaks while setting up the other two. As I was finishing setting up the last experiment at 6-6:30 pm, a very bad thought hit me. I realized that time DID matter for that particular experiment, and that I needed to leave the cells for 24-36 hours before doing the next step (which would take 3-4 hours). So it looks like I am staying super late tonight, and I could have prevented it if I had actually thought about what I was doing. What do I have to do otherwise today? Not much, other than avoid the boss who is on a mini-rampage with ideas for experiments for me to do. I'm glad he's excited about my project and all, but this is too much.

Someone just called me to go to lunch, but maybe I'll be back later, since I'm sitting here till 6:30...
